Lachlan founded Swell Asset Management in 2014, wanting to create a unique investment offering – a global portfolio with a genuine long term focus. He is the CIO, with responsibility for all investment decisions of the Swell Global Portfolio. Previously he was a Senior Analyst with NovaPort Capital, a boutique fund manager owned by Challenger Limited. Prior to that, Lachlan was a corporate lawyer working with King & Wood Mallesons, The Bank of New York (London), and Allco Finance Group.

Lachlan earned the right to use the CFA designation granted by the CFA Institute in 2010. His professional qualifications include a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) and a Bachelor of Laws.

Sally joined the investment team in January 2020. She is responsible for allocated Portfolio investments as well as analysis of companies being considered for inclusion, and guides ESG research. While completing her studies Sally gained valuable financial analysis experience working in intern positions in the UK, China and Australia.

Sally earned the right to use the CFA designation granted by the CFA Institute in 2022 and has successfully completed the CFA Institute Certificate in ESG Investing. She holds a Bachelor of Economics and Finance from the University of Hong Kong and a Masters in Investment and Wealth Management (Distinction) from Imperial College Business School, London, where she was director of strategic communications for the Imperial College Student Investment Fund.

Carol joined Swell in August 2018 as Operations Manager and is responsible for business administration and compliance. She has worked in management consulting, technology and small business, and was part of the team delivering transport services to the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games.

Carol holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from Sydney University.

Peter joined the Swell Asset Management Board in February 2020. He was Chief Executive Officer of Cambooya Services Pty Limited, one of Australia’s largest single-family offices, from 2000 to 2012. In conjunction with that role, he was also a Non-Executive Director of Rural Press Limited and Landis+Gyr AG.

He currently serves on the investment and trustee boards of various well-known Australian families.

Peter holds a Bachelor of Commerce, MBA and Master of Letters. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
